Care & Use
Before First Use
Before using your SCANPAN cookware for the first time, remove all labels and wash the product in warm, soapy water. Dry it completely before use. If required, assemble the glass knob according to the directions provided in the user’s guide.
Cleaning
After cooking, allow the product to cool before washing it with warm, soapy water. The product should always be completely clean before it is stored.
Although the cookware is listed as dishwasher safe, hand washing is recommended, as the care instructions state that washing the product in the dishwasher is not recommended.
Caring for the Stratanium Non-Stick Surface
SCANPAN products are designed for specific cooking purposes. Frying pans are intended for frying, while pots and saucepans are intended for boiling. Using each product for its intended purpose helps maintain its performance and longevity.
Avoid overheating the cookware. The aluminium is highly effective at retaining heat, so high heat is unnecessary and may reduce the performance of the non-stick surface.
For maintaining the non-stick coating:
-
Do not use oil from aerosol sprays, as these can impair the non-stick coating.
-
Do not store food in your SCANPAN cookware.
-
Always clean the non-stick cookware with detergent.
-
Avoid rapid heating and cooling of the cookware.
Following the recommended care and use instructions helps maintain the cookware and its Stratanium non-stick surface over time.
